Rylie Hickox will become a nurse at the University of South Florida or Florida Gulf Coast University. During her senior year she had a 3.9 GPA, played several varsity sports while being an active Student Government Association officer. She was treasurer and Vice-president of her class of 2021. She holds a special place for children and has had experience with them volunteering at Bloom Academy that offers education and growing experiences for young people. Rylie is indeed an involved young lady.
Preston Jones will be an Eagle at FGCU with his eye on becoming a pharmacist; during his time as a Charlotte High Senior, he attended dual enrollment classes at Florida Southwestern and enrolled in many relevant AP courses. He has been active with First Impressions that assists children with school homework. Preston will be the first in his large family to attend college and has had perfect attendance for the past 13 years of schooling. Preston will certainly make a fine pharmacist.
Huyen Le has decided on the University of Florida as her school for pre-med studies. She is a Leo member, a very active community service and National Honor Society member. Huyen is also a district champion and state qualifier plus captain of her weight lifting team ! During her time at Charlotte High, she achieved a 4.2 GPA and accumulated many volunteer hours. Huyen is a very determined young lady who has set her sights on maintaining a balance between her education, sports, family and service; she will certainly make that happen..
Cameron Scoles has been accepted at Florida State as a biology major in preparation to a career as either a medical surgeon or medical examiner. She is an accomplished artist, is a member of the Art Club and volunteer at the Homeless Coalition. As a judge for the Middle School Science Fair, Cameron helped judge and choose winners,. plus work as a student assistant for teachers. She is the first of her family to attend college and with her sights very clearly set on being a medical professional....she will certainly make it.
Amber Stevens is enrolled at Florida Southwestern University in their RN and pre-medical cirriculum. Her first high school years were at Findlay, Ohio and finished at Charlotte High being enrolled full time at Charlotte Technical College. She was very active in sports, varsity softball and JV volleyball and tapped as a member of National High School Scholars. She volunteered at community food banks and at the high school concession stands. Amber is determined to grow into the best nurse possible.
Allee Stover is going to be a Gator at the University of Florida. She has been Varsity Cheerleader for 3 years and achieved a 4.37 weighted GPA while taking many dual-enrollment courses along with honors and AP credits. She volunteers at Fawcett Hospital where she ran labs and assisted in nursing duties. Allee is Red Cross certified in CPR and AED protocols and is skilled as a Microsoft office specialist. She will be a physicians assistant with pre-med achievement.
